One Little Word

If I said I was tired or I am so tired what is the difference? To say I am SO tired indictes that I very tired.

If I said someone said is talkative or said they are so talkative, what is the difference? The first conjurs an image of someone that is chatty while the second indicates that they cannot keep quiet.

That little word ‘so’ amplifies the issue.

If I said Jim is being good and that Joe isbeing so good, who do we think is behaving the better? Joe.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. ~ John 3:16

God doesn’t just love the world, He SO loves the world.

He doesn’t just love us, He SO loves us. Paul says that we are accepted in the beloved and God refers to Jesus as His beloved Son, it’s the same word! I am, you are, we all are, greatly loved by God!

How much does He SO love us, He allowed Jesus to suffer all that He did for us.

One last thought be like John, ‘the disciple that Jesus loved’ and boast in His love for us not our love for Him.
