(Mark 1:40 NKJV) Now a leper came to Him, imploring Him, kneeling down to Him and saying to Him, “If You are willing, You can make me clean.”
The leper had no problem believing Jesus had the authority to heal him. “If you are willing, you can…” In his mind it was never a question of Jesus not having the power or the authority to heal. The question was, “Did He actually want to?”
Paul tells us that we WALK by faith:
(2 Corinthians 5:7 NKJV) For we walk by faith, not by sight.
To walk unimpeded we need to have two good legs, without two good legs we will limp or hop, but we are to walk by faith.
This verse shows what two good legs of faith are.
The “right leg”, is the faith to answer the question, “Is He able to heal?” with a resounding “YES!” A question Jesus was asked by the father of an epileptic in Mark 9.
(Mark 9:22 NKJV) ”… But if You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.”
The “left leg” of faith is believing Jesus actually wants to heal.
Believing God is BOTH willing and able to do good for us is how we walk by faith without a limp.
Just a thought
